Planning a wedding can really expose the true colors of some of the people closest to you. In the case of this wedding, it was the groom's mom, the bride's mother-in-law (MIL) that revealed her true Karen side. 

 

Turns out that the couple, including her own son, have never been close to this MIL. She was a known Karen in the family and her entitlement was notorious. Still, the couple were having a big wedding, so they decided to simply invite her. However, they should have known better that she was going to take that as an invite to make the day all about herself. Now, the bride couldn't get her off her back during the entire planning process. Her demands were constant and annoying. Luckily, the couple were able to simply veto them. However, the topper was when the MIL told them she needed a separate menu then everyone else because she was such a "special" guest. LOL Sure, mom, sure. Instead, the Maid-of-Honor had the brilliant idea of giving her this "special meal" in the form of a McDonald's Happy Meal. Why? Because if she's going to act like a kid, she's going to be treated as one.

  • The epic pettiness of this move is beautiful. The entitled MIL was expecting some sort of fancy dish just for her, instead, she was given a happy meal. With the apple slices and everything! I mean, she got what she wished for, right? The look on her face was enough of a gift for the happy couple that the rest of their wedding night went amazingly.

  • When she found out what the wedding scheme was gonna be (think whimsical fairy princess vibes, with all my bridesmaids wearing ligh pink dressses and a flower crown), she said that she didn't agree with the theme because she liked formal weddings better.
